On the way to Kyoto - sod the scenery, let's play electronic scrabble...

In the evening we head for Gion in search of a glimpse of Geisha...
...but only find this fancy restaurant...

The next day, and the Gods treat us to a snow storm as we head for Kinkakuji...
...with the resulting glorious vistas - yay!

...and a stroll round the gardens to round out our Kinkakuji visit
Afternoon brought us to Nijo castle, home of shoguns, ninjas, etc.
...and thence to Kyoto tower...
...before staggering round the nightlife areas in search of strangely-named hostelries
Next morning Caroline and Jarrod depart, leaving your humble narrator to troll round the tranquil delights of Ninnaji temple...
...and bump into this fine wall.
