LATEST NEWS - October 2008:
After innumerable technical problems, the latest STAVKA album is finished, mixed and mastered, leaving just the artwork to be completed. Entitled "Heavy Casualties in the Charm Offensive," it features 16 tracks of alternative rock goodness, and I can modestly confirm that it is the best album yet! In addition, several new songs have already been recorded for the follow-up (prolific, or what?!), currently labouring under the working title of "Transgressions in Art." Bet you can't wait, eh?
What is STAVKA?
Based in Hiroshima, Japan, STAVKA is a one man outfit playing a melodic brand of alternative rock recorded at the self-owned EASTER ISLAND STUDIOS. If you're into good tunes with intriguing words backed by noisy guitars, you've come to the right place!
